SanDisk Extreme Pro SD UHS-II Card USB-C Reader

So Apple announced the all new MacBook Pro the other week and one of the many things that Apple choose to get rid off that might actually have been useful to many photographers and a feature that I truly loved on my 13inch MacBook Air was the SDXC card slot. It meant that I didn’t have to worry about bringing my card reader a long when I was on the road and I wasn’t paranoid about accidentally yanking the card reader out by accident mid transfer.

So if you have bought or are looking at buying a new 2016 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar and need to use an SD Card Reader don’t stress to much about it because SandDisk has you covered with the all new SanDisk Extreme Pro SD UHS-II Card USB-C Reader (Yes the name is a mouth full) It simply just plugs in to one of the MacBook Pros USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports.

The reader supports the latest SanDisk Extreme Pro SD UHS-II Cards which support super fast transfer speeds of up to 312Mpps and is compatible with with older UHS-I and non-UHS SD cards that are currently on the market.

The reader will be available to purchase in about 3-4 weeks time and it will set you back $62.95 AU from the Apple store.
